About Us
FarmTableWest was started in 2016 by Zach Buchel as an online farmers market out of Cody, Wyoming. In 2020 Zach, started farming himself at his family's property in Cody, Wyoming.
He now has grown the farm to 4 high tunnel greenhouses and a field outdoors with 40 50 foot beds of vegetables. The farm produces fresh vegetables year round using winter growing techniques pioneered by Eliot Coleman and Conor Crickmore on the East Coast. It is also designed in the fashion of Neversink Farm in upstate New York and uses No-Till practices without any synthetic herbicides or pesticides (except occasional grasshopper poison around the parameters of the field only, never on the crops).
The soil is fertilized with 1 inch of compost every year and amended with minerals specific to a soil test, plus dry alfalfa meal products in between the 2-3 crops a year per bed.
Zach absolutely loves farming and wants to grow the farm each year for the next 3-5 years until it fills out the 3 acre parcel he's using.
