About Us
Kwee-Jack Fish Co. is a family-owned, fisherman-operated business bringing premium wild-caught Alaskan seafood directly to your table. We are sockeye salmon fishermen, traveling to Alaska each summer to personally harvest the salmon we sell to our customers.

From the cold, pristine waters of Alaska, we sustainably catch and carefully handle our sockeye salmon, ensuring exceptional quality, flavor, and nutrition. We also offer sustainably harvested wild Alaskan cod and halibut. Every fish is responsibly caught and processed with care from ocean to doorstep.
Practices

Bristol Bay Sockeye Fishery

We harvest our salmon in the world-renowned Bristol Bay sockeye fishery in Alaska — one of the most carefully managed and sustainable fisheries on the planet. Strict state oversight, limited entry permits, and science-based escapement goals help ensure healthy salmon runs year after year. As working fishermen, we participate directly in this fishery and take responsibility for how our fish are caught and handled.

Why Frozen Is Fresher

“Fresh” doesn’t always mean what people think it does. Much of the seafood sold as fresh has been previously frozen and thawed before it reaches the display case. Our salmon, cod, and halibut are frozen at peak freshness — often within hours of harvest — locking in flavor, texture, and nutrients. Properly frozen wild fish preserves quality far better than seafood that has spent days in transit on ice.

Know Your Fishermen

Seafood labeling can be misleading. Terms like “fresh,” “wild,” or even “Alaskan” don’t always tell the full story about where, when, or how a fish was harvested. That’s why transparency matters. We believe you should know who caught your fish, where it came from, and how it was handled. When you buy from Kwee-Jack Fish Co., you’re buying directly from the fishermen who travel to Alaska each summer to harvest the salmon we proudly bring back to our customers.
