About Us
Living Soil Farms is a small, intensively managed farm growing fresh vegetables on less than an acre of land in Big Timber, MT. Farmer Cameron focuses on producing nutrient-dense vegetables that reflect the seasons of our region, with a particular emphasis on flavorful storage crops like carrots, onions, shallots, beets, winter squash, and potatoes.
Using two high tunnels and carefully planned field production, the farm supplies local restaurants, caterers, CSA members, and community markets with produce harvested at peak freshness. By keeping the farm small and efficient, Living Soil Farms is able to focus on quality, flavor, and thoughtful crop selection rather than high-volume production.

Practices
As the name suggests, soil health is at the heart of Living Soil Farms. The farm is managed using regenerative, soil-focused practices that prioritize long-term fertility and ecological balance. Organic matter levels across the fields range from 4–9%, creating biologically active soil that supports strong plant growth and nutrient-rich vegetables.
Cameron farms without synthetic inputs and instead relies on biological soil stimulants, cover cropping, minimal tillage, and continuous cropping systems that protect soil structure and microbial life. These practices help build resilient soil while producing vegetables that are grown with care for both the land and the people who eat from it.
