About Us
At Lane Legacy Beef, we raise All Natural Black Angus cattle on our family ranch in Eastern Montana. For four generations, our family has cared for this land and our livestock, raising cattle ethically, humanely, and entirely on pasture from day one.
Our beef is 100% antibiotic-free, hormone-free, and never grain finished. We believe in honesty and transparency, so when you choose Lane Legacy Beef, you know exactly where your meat comes from - straight from our family ranch to your table.
As longtime Montana cattle producers, we understand the importance of delivering high quality, grass-fed and grass finished beef. It's our way of sharing nutritious, flavorful beef with families who value authenticity and ranch raised quality.
Practices
Certified All Natural- That means it's 100% free of any antibiotics, hormones, pesticides, and other additives/fillers. Our cattle were born here and raised under the big, blue, Montana sky free to roam our grassy pastures.
100% Grass Fed AND Finished Regeneratively Grazed
There is actually a huge difference between grass-fed and grain-fed beef, (also known as conventional beef).
What a cow eats during its life has a drastic impact on its nutritional value as a meat source.
Grass-fed beef contains less fat and less calories than grain-fed beef. It's also significantly higher in CLAs (conjugated linoleic acid) which has numerous health benefits (one being associated with weight loss).
Grass-fed beef is significantly lower in monounsaturated fat than grain-fed cows but has almost 5x more omega 3's (brain health!)
Simply put, grass-finished beef comes from cattle that eat nothing but grass and forage for their entire lives. Our cattle are free to roam the pastures, breathing fresh air, and we believe this environment creates happier, healthy cows. And this in turn, produces better tasting and more nutritious meat.
